Recently all the major telecom service providers increased their rates. Firstly, Vodafone and Idea's increased their prepaid plans making them become more expensive. Not only this, Airtel also increased the tariffs of its existing plans. Now yesterday's evening i.e. on 06th Dec 2019 Airtel clarified that from now it will not take 6 Paise/min for calling to other networks. As you know that Jio, Idea, Vodafone and Airtel changed their plans tariff and also introduced the FUP min for calling to other networks. But now Airtel took its step backward again and clarified yesterday that all the calls will remain unlimited in Airtel for calling to any other network. A little while Idea and Vodafone also changed their plans again coming back to the unlimited calling option again inspired by Airtel. Because everyone knows that with the new MNP option anyone can now switch to other networks without changing their numbers. So, in order to retain their customers Idea and Vodafone also again switched back to unlimited calling plans to others networks along with Airtel. As you all would be aware of that Jio is no longer providing the unlimited calling now. Only Jio to Jio calls will remain unlimited and Jio to other networks will be charged 6 Paise/min. Reliance Jio still didn't made any changes in its FUP calling plans. The mobile network operators Idea, Vodafone and Airtel had also increased their prices with Jio earlier but analyzing the risk of losing their customers via MNP to Jio which Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 cheaper than these networks in terms of monthly and quaterly plans,  Idea, Vodafone and Airtel again made changes in their plans yesterday's evening to create a balance with the features provided by Reliance Jio and to retain their existing customers from switching over to Jio.

Now again, the biggest question which arises in everyone's mind is which sim to use now that will be cost effective and also provide best internet and calling options.

Biggest question Again? Which sim to choose now Jio, Idea, Vodafone or Airtel .?

So to resolve all your queries and doubts arising in your minds after these recent changes in the plans of  Idea, Vodafone and Airtel TechWishlist had done a lot of research again to give you the answer to this biggest question of yours again.

Airtel again changed its plans to unlimited calling in order to retain its customers likewise Idea and Vodafone also did the same otherwise there was a potential threat rising for the Idea, Vodafone and Airtel of losing their customers to Jio. But with the change in their plans again now there will the same competition again between these major telecom giants as Jio is still not offering unlimited free calls from Jio to Idea, Vodafone and Airtel or any mobile other networks. While  Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are now offering free unlimited calls to any mobile network. So their is again a race between these major telecom service providers.

Now let us compare the New Telecom Plans Updated by Idea, Vodafone and Airtel:

  • Reliance Jio still didn't made any changes to its plan. So if you want an active validity pack to keep your sim active then only then you need to do a minimum recharge of Rs. 129 plan which offers 2.0 GB data and 1000 FUP min for calling  to other networks with 28 days validity Jio to Jio calls were still remain unlimited. So, this is the minimum cost plan which you can choose to recharge with to keep your sim active. If you just need a sim for incoming calls & messages only then you need to switch now to Idea, Vodafone or Airtel for cheaper active validity packs as I have told you earlier their is no change in active validity plans for now.
  • Now again, if we compare the plans with unlimited data & calling with 28 days validity then, you can simply compare the plans in the image above and you will notice that Jio is offering Rs. 199 plan which offers 1.5 GB/Day data and 1000 FUP min for calling to other networks with 28 days validity Jio to Jio calls were still remain unlimited. While Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are offering the same plan for Rs. 249, Rs 249 and Rs. 248 respectively. So, Jio is still providing this plan at Rs. 50 cheaper than Idea, Vodafone and Airtel.
  • Similarly, Jio is offering 2.0 GB/Day data and 1000 FUP min for calling to other networks with 28 days validity in just Rs. 249 & Jio to Jio calls were still unlimited. While Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are offering the same plan but with Unlimited Calls to any mobile network now for Rs. 299, Rs 299 and Rs. 298 respectively. So, in this plan although Jio is providing its service at Rs. 50 cheaper than Idea, Vodafone and Airtel but then also it is not providing the benefits of Unlimited Calls to other network which is a still a major drawback with Jio.
  • Likwise, if we compare the plans with unlimited data & calling with 84 days validity then, you will again notice that Jio is offering Rs. 555 plan which offers 1.5 GB/Day data and 3000 FUP min for calling to other networks with 84 days validity & Jio to Jio calls were still remain unlimited. While Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are offering the same plan but with Unlimited Calls to any mobile network now for Rs. 599, Rs 599 and Rs. 598 respectively. So, Jio is now lagging  the race by not providing the Unlimited Calls to any mobile network now.
  • Also, if we compare the plans with unlimited data & calling with 84 days validity then, you will again notice that Jio is offering Rs. 599 plan which offers 2.0 GB/Day data and 3000 FUP min for calling to other networks with 84 days validity & Jio to Jio calls were still remain unlimited. While Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are offering the same plan but with Unlimited Calls to any mobile network now Rs. 699, Rs 699 and Rs. 698 respectively. So, now their is a tough competition between Jio, Idea, Vodafone and Airtel,  as although this Jio plan is Rs. 100 cheaper than Idea, Vodafone and Airtel but then you won't be enjoying unlimited free calls after 3000 FUP min.
