Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Review Specifications Prices: A Mid-Range Marvel Unveiled in India!
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has graced our hands, and it brings forth an entirely different sentiment compared to its predecessor, the Note 13. This 12GB x 256GB variant is expected to retail for an approximate price of Rs 28,000 to Rs 30,000, making it an intriguing prospect for smartphone enthusiasts. As we delve into the unboxing and initial impressions, we find ourselves pleasantly surprised.

The packaging remains consistent with its predecessor, featuring a case that maintains its clarity, preventing the common issue of yellowing. Within the box, you'll find a SIM card tool, the phone itself, a robust 120W charger, and a USB Type A to Type C charging cable. Notably, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ debuts with a curved display, marking a first for the Note series. This curvature adds a touch of sophistication to the phone's overall design.

The rear panel boasts a leather finish, albeit a vegan leather, offering a unique and appealing look. The phone comes in various captivating colors, including pastel purple, pastel green, pastel blue, and pastel white. The triple-camera setup on the back is a notable highlight, providing impressive photography capabilities.

The device feels comfortable in hand and is equipped with a substantial 5000mAh battery. Surprisingly, it manages not to feel overly heavy, with a weight of approximately 201.3g. The inclusion of Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front, a first for the Note series, ensures durability and peace of mind.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Technical Specifications and Features:

  • While exploring the phone's physical features, you'll find a SIM card tray, a microphone, USB Type C, and a speaker grill at the bottom. On the right side, there are the power and volume buttons, while the top boasts an IR blaster, microphone, speaker grill, and a pressure release valve, although the latter's purpose remains somewhat enigmatic. The left-hand side of the device remains unadorned.
  • Examining the SIM card tray reveals a dual nano SIM card slot, although the absence of an SD card slot is compensated by the generous 256GB of base storage. Regrettably, a 3.5mm audio jack is noticeably missing, a feature found in many mid-range phones. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ sports a 6.68'' 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, offering superior quality in terms of color depth compared to typical mid-range displays. Its resolution, a step above standard FHD+, makes for a stunning visual experience with slim side and upper bezels.
  • The display's brightness shines at 1800 nits, marking it as a flagship-grade feature. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is powered by the Dimensity 7200 Ultra, which supports a staggering 200MP camera and boasts a dedicated APU for AI, ensuring powerful performance and photography capabilities. The device also features LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, further solidifying its status as a premium mid-range smartphone.
  • The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ operates on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, though it's important to note that our assessment is based on the Chinese variant. The Indian release is expected in the next month. Connectivity options are comprehensive, featuring 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an IR blaster.
  • Additional features such as an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and an IP68 certification enhance the phone's appeal. In terms of performance, it excels in gaming, allowing smooth gameplay on medium to high settings for popular titles like COD Mobile and BGMI.
  • Thermal management proves effective, and the multimedia experience is noteworthy. With Dolby Vision support and a 1.5K resolution, videos are vivid and immersive. The panel is of high quality and possesses a GUI Rheinland Flicker Free certification. Audio quality is equally impressive with Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, enhancing the overall multimedia experience.
  • The camera system is a standout feature, offering a 200MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 16MP selfie sensor. These cameras deliver impressive results, thanks to extensive post-processing and excellent dynamic range. Notably, the phone supports native 200MP photo capture and lossless zoom up to 4X.
  • Video capabilities are robust, with the primary sensor offering 4K at 30FPS, the ultrawide camera capturing 1080p at 30FPS, and the front camera delivering 1080p at 60FPS. Various camera modes, including document scanning, native mode, portrait, night mode, slow motion, time lapse, and AI watermark mode, offer versatile photography options.
